Furthermore, death is described as a phenomenon beyond man's control. Death has its control; it is something that man cannot decide on his own, but only death can stop him, invite him to get on his chariot, not vice versa. Furthermore, the word “kindly” in the line presents calmness to the readers as death is not something that human being should be afraid of. Furthermore, the word “slowly” and the phrase “unhurriedly” in line 4, “We drove slowly – He knew no hurry” once again indicates that Death is in control and is also calm. Since the speaker shows no struggle or agitation, the process of dying is described as deliberately slow, not as a sudden attack, and the speaker is depicted as not facing any struggle with death.
