Our lives would not have been so fascinating without the contribution of Engineering. It has raised new questions, opened up new possibilities, reduced human efforts and made life better with new innovations. I have always been amazed by the possibilities of the ever-evolving field of science and engineering, and to explore and experiment with it, I decided to pursue a career as an engineer. I enjoyed learning science and mathematics from an early age and was always curious about how the devices and machines around me work, and this naturally made me opt for a science group in 11th and 12th grade. Physics, chemistry and mathematics were the main subjects and I really enjoyed learning physics thanks to my teacher. His lectures were interesting and stimulating. And especially the chapters on electricity and semiconductors increased my curiosity to know more about electricity and electronics. I had an excellent academic record and completed my studies with 96%. The project focused on developing an intelligent street lighting control system that controls the illumination level of LED street lights based on the movement and presence of pedestrians and vehicles. The project was successfully completed meeting the review board's expectations and achieved an outstanding grade. I enthusiastically participated in various technical competitions during my undergraduate studies and organized a workshop on MATLAB at the undergraduate symposium of my senior year. Soon after graduation, I got an opportunity to work at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, India as an Embedded Software Engineer. At Bosch I develop software modules for electronic control units (ECUs) used in cars and commercial vehicles. I was able to practically implement the theoretical concepts of networking, control systems, microcontrollers and many more. Working in this field, I gained knowledge about protocols such as Controller Area Network (CAN) and Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) and the AUTOSAR architecture. As a developer, I validate the requirements; designing the code flow and program in Embedded C. I also contributed to software test automation and process adherence and this exposed me to programming languages like Perl and Python. And I had the opportunity to learn how industrial validation and testing works. I was awarded the "Best Fresher" award for my performance and contribution to the team after six months on the job.
